It makes sense that bloggers like to read other blogs. If not, that would be pretty conceited, right? As it stands I have at least 30-40 RSS feeds in my Google Reader though some I tend not to keep up with as much. Here are a few I follow, but by no means an exhaustive list.
- Elladelphia contains long, extremely well-written pieces by fellow vegan straight-edger Davin, mostly about her wild experiences in Philadelphia. It provides an intensely personal glimpse into someone’s life, especially if you appreciate social justice, feminism, and hardcore.
- Fake Plastic Fish was born out of Beth Terry’s disgust with our excessive plastic use, and she decided to stop purchasing all plastic as much as possible. If she did obtain some, she kept it as a running tally. Often contains great re-purposing ideas and ways to de-plasticize our life in general. If you have no idea why plastic is bad, read this.
- I only recently discovered The Discerning Brute, but love the idea: “a resource for intelligent men who want to make ethical, informed decisions concerning their lifestyles.” The author, Joshua Katcher, “encourages skepticism, critical thinking, and accountability.” Sign me up!
- Lastly, I want to show some love to my tattoo artist and friend Dusty Neal. His blog is a collection of dark, unique artwork and “occasional explanatory writings.” He’s also an incredible tattoo artist in the Midwest if you’re looking for one.
